Here is a great story about an English Bull Terrier called Nellie.

Nellie the English Bull Terrier who digs up truffles in her back garden.

Nellie the English Bull Terrier is owned by a couple in the UK and has been digging up their garden since 2007.

The owners were at first annoyed until they realized what she was looking for.

She was finding and digging up truffles.

It is great to hear a nice story about this breed of dog.

English Bull Terriers make wonderful pets.

My belief is that if you treat your dogs with respect and kindness they will be loving and gentle pets.

Truffles are extremely hard to come by and almost unheard of in the UK.

The owners make around £1000 a year by selling the truffles and say it pays for some of the upkeep of their much loved family dog.

Uggie the famous acting Dog was sent to the pound!

Uggie the terrier dog ends up in the Dog Pound, twice!

Uggie the 10 year old dog who is now a Hollywood star was rejected by two previous owners because they said he was uncontrollable.

His life changed for the better when dog trainer Omar fell in love with his cheeky grin and took him home.

Uggie was trained by his new owner so well that the dog became an acting star in TV and movies. 

Always knew it was the owners of dogs that create their behaviour not the dog themselves

Now he is the canine star of the new movie, The Artist.

The dog won his first trophy at the Cannes Film Festival for his role in the film.

He received the Palm Dog trophy for Best Performance by a Canine.

His owner has said that he has decided to retire Uggie! from full time acting because the dog now deserves a rest.

Puppies abandoned again after Christmas

Why do people do it!


Another sad story of poor little dogs and puppies thrown out on the street to die.


I understand if new dog owners suddenly realise that they can not look after their dogs but why do they just throw them out in the street to die.


There are plenty of Dog homes and shelters all over the world that will take in unwanted dogs for free


These cute puppies are up for adoption in North Wales in the UK.


But if your are moved by their stories please contact your own local Dogs Shelter and offer a dog or puppy a new loving home.

A heart warming story of a dog left abandoned but saved

This is the video story of a pit bull dog who was abandoned and left to die.
He was rescued by the dog charity who drove three hours to get to him.
He was scared and sick.
They approached very slowly until they gained the dog's trust.
We see how his health progresses after one week, then two weeks until he is fully healthy at ten weeks.
We also see Gideon as they called him transform into a happy and playful dog.
He is now up for adoption.

Two Dogs fall off a cliff and survive!

Here is a good news story about two dogs who fell off a 70 foot cliff in Cornwall in the UK and got up running.

Bomber and Blitz were out have a good time with there owners on holiday in Cornwall.  They had been walking on the cliffs at Porthleven and then Blitz decided he wanted a rest.  

The border collie sat down on the grass beside the edge of the cliff.  Bomber,  decided he still wanted to play.  So the Springer Spaniel ran up to Blitz too quickly and they both went flying over the edge of the cliff. 

Their owner said, 

'I had my back turned when it happened.
I was just about to take a picture and then I heard a load of commotion.
I turned round and could only look down, my heart was in my throat. We saw that Bomber jumped up straight away and ran off.Blitz stayed there for a couple of seconds and then got up. 'We found a little path down to where they were, I couldn’t believe what had happened.'

The dogs were taken straight to the vet but both were fine.  They had a very luck escape.  

I often see dogs out with their owners who are too close to  the edge of cliffs and mountains.  

But luckily for these two family dogs, Bomber and Blitz both survived their fall with no injuries accept shock.
